Portuguese Minister of Finance and Eurogroup's President, Mário Centeno, is under investigation

Mário Centeno, Minister of Finance and Eurogroup's President, is being investigated after a corruption scandal that involves the football club Benfica, its President, Luís Filipe Vieira, and his son, Tiago Vieira.

In a batch of leaked e-mails from Benfica's President, there's one in particular that triggered a full investigation. Luís Filipe Vieira's son sent an e-mail to his father with the following content:

"Dad, it's done!!!!! Without your push, this wouldn't be possible. Big kiss".
This e-mail was sent using his company address, Promovalor, and the "push" refers to something that Luís Filipe Vieira has done in a process that was running at a slow pace and involved also a company called "Realitis", who's CEO is Sara Vieira (yes, you guessed it: Luís Filipe Vieira's daughter). For some reason, the company got an exemption on their municipal fees and the business finally happened.

A couple of days later, Finance Ministry requests tickets for the match between Benfica and Porto. Those tickets were for the Minister itself and his son.

Now, Mário Centeno's Office is under investigation. What a great honour to Portugal to have a Minister involved in a scandal like this. We are in the European Union but we still act like a third world country.

  1. que isto sirva para dar andamento ao processo do benfica e ao precosso do vieira...
    escrever em jornais lá fora.

chegou o tempo dos portugueses saberem quem é verdadeiramente vieira e todos seus ruinosos negócios.

    bancos faliram
    construtoras faliram...
    vieira continua impune.

    vieira não pagou.
    mas vai pagar.

    e com juros.
